Legal English
Legal English courses are available for all those who require greater knowledge of the language in order to perform in a legal, economic and professional atmosphere. In our current age English has become essential for those who work in the international environment as lawyers, accountants and business people. These courses are specifically designed to equip you with the linguistic tools and knowledge for all your needs so that you are able to explain legal concepts, communicate with clients, understand and translate legal language, write legal letters and documents, and understand the law of English countries (Common Law). A preparation course for the Cambridge International Legal English Certificate (ILEC) is also available.
The course is divided into two parts.
1. The first part is related to learning practical Legal English in which the following is taught:
• Legal/professional letters
• Memorandum
• Contracts
• Telephoning
• Presentations and debates (expressing ideas, opinions, facts, agreement and disagreement)
2. The second part is related to learning the theory and practice of Law from English countries – ie. Common Law. In this section the following is taught:
